Neuroimaging Correlates of Prior Immunosuppression and Cognitive Status in HIV

......study found 'Worse neuronal integrity correlated with greater past immune suppression' [nadir cd4]......'HAND was most strongly associated with lower neuronal integrity and more extensive abnormal white matter, which may reflect persistent HIV-related inflammation'.......'Earlier initiation of ART to prevent advanced immune suppression may reduce brain injury and cognitive impairment, although the impact of ongoing neuroinflammation needs further investigation'
