Impact of Drug Use and Opioid Substitution Therapy on
Hepatitis C Reinfection: The BC Hepatitis Testers Cohort

  Reported by Jules Levin
AASLD 2016 Nov 11-15 Boston, MA

from Jules: HCV reinfection to IDUs & MSM sexually is a major concern. Clearly reinfection presents one of the biggest barriers to treating HCV & for insurers to cover HCV treatment. This must be addressed in a clear effective way in order to have a chance to eliminate J=HCV in the USA, it creates a barrier to the federal government to address HCV elimination.
