Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) & metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) represent a large and growing burden in the U.S. & better estimates of economic and social burden are needed to develop effective national strategies. In the last 5 years, several clinical and cohort studies in the US have provided more refined estimates of the burden allowing us to develop better forecasts.
