ADAP Waiting Lists in 12 States

ADAPs (AIDS Drug Assistance Programs) provide HIV treatments uninsured
individuals living with HIV/AIDS in all 50 states, the District of Columbia,
the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. VirginIslands. Federal funding for
ADAPs has been flat funded, no increases, and is expected to lead to wide
spread ADAP access restrictions.
12 ADAPs have already closed enrollment to new clients or limited access to
antiretroviral
treatments. 6 states report the potential need to implement ADAP
restrictions.
