Dear Colleagues:
In memory of our dear colleague and workshop co-founder, Professor David Cooper, we are pleased to announce the availability of travel scholarships to attend the 20th International Workshop for Co-morbidities and Adverse Drug Reactions in HIV to be held October 13-14 in New York.
Applications for the Cooper Scholarship program are welcomed from investigators engaged in HIV co-morbidity research who are:
1) From a low or lower-middle income country defined by World Bank criteria ( https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/knowledgebase/articles/906519)
OR
2) Early Stage Investigators from any country (defined as an investigator currently in a training programme or who has completed a training programme [degree programme, residency, post-doctoral fellowship] within the past 10 years)
For the past 20 years, The International Workshop on Co-morbidities & Adverse Drug Reactions in HIV has been a premier forum to distil and disseminate cutting-edge scientific data in the area of HIV Co-morbidities, including cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, bone, oncologic, liver, neurologic, aging, renal diseases and other complications and adverse drug reactions.
Cooper Scholars will receive:
1) Free registration to the Workshop
2) Round-trip air travel to New York City (economy class)
3) Accommodation for up to 3 nights Applicants are required to:
1) Submit an abstract via the online portal following submission guidelines (https://abstract.intmedpress.com/submit/start.cfm) AND email a copy with your application
2) Provide a 400-word summary of current interests in HIV co-morbidity research and career goals
3) Provide a curriculum vitae
4) Provide a 1-page letter of recommendation from Division/Department Head or
