Factors Associated with Mortality in Lean, Overweight and Obese Patients with Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease
Fatty Liver IS a comorbidity for HIV+ although in general its not spoken about as 1 of the comorbidities we face among aging HIV+. This problem appears to be gaining some recognition now with some clinicians being aware of this risk & referring PLWH for Finroscan & hepatitis evaluations by herpetologists, but this still remans an emerging concern no getting enough attention, certainly among PLWH it does not appear to be well recognized as a comorbidity. With an older aging population it is they who are at the greater risk as fatty liver can progress with aging. And older HIV+ re at risk for greater non-viral hepatitis which appears to be getting a little research attention. Jules
