TRICARBOXYLIC ACID METABOLITES PREDICT METABOLIC COMORBIDITIES AND DEATH IN AGING PWH

  CROI 2020
Reported by Jules Levin

These associations implicate metabolic remodeling in the pathogenesis of age-associated comorbidities among PWH.

from Jules: AS I have said before HIV is a disease of metabolics in that it disrupts normal metabolics in otherwise HIV-uninfected healthy people & in HIV+ causes all these aberrations that lead to increased risk in various conditions & comorbidities. This study looks at physical comorbidities but DOES NOT look at mental commodities like depression, anxiety etc.
