HIV/Aging in NYC 80%+ over 40 Yrs Old/IDUs 95%/HIGH Death Rates for Older HIV

in NYC - 82% of White Men with HIV by 2017 were over 40 years old, 15% under 40. 82% of Manhattan women are over 40. IDUs men - 53% over 60; 90% are over 50, 95% of IDUs with HIV are over 40 ! IDUs women - 35% over 60; 80% over 50; 96% over 40. heterosexual men: 68% over 50; 92% over 40.
In Chelsea, Greenwich Village & Soho, Union Square & Lower Eastside, Gramercy Park, 82% are over 40.
80% of Manhattan men are over 40.
In Bed-Stuy, Central Harlem, Williamsburg & East New York, Wash Heights, 26% are < 39 years old.
Death rates higher for Blacks (double) & Latinos vs Whites.
Much Higher death rates for HIV+ over 60 - 2/3 times higher death rates for HIV+ over 60 vs HIV-neg. see table below, compare to HIV-neg death rates in graph below
