DTG disrupts energy expenditure. In other words, the body becomes a bit inefficient in burning calories while taking DTG.
This is an extension of my previous study showing that DTG reduces energy expenditure by disrupting (brown) adipose tissues, whose primary function is to burn fat. This process is highly regulated by the central nervous system, too. This study shows that DTG can disrupt the signaling in the brain region, which controls energy balance and leads to less energy expenditure.
