I have been co-infected for over twenty years and have not had to take any medications yet. However I think It may be necessary for me to begin treatment for HCV. How will this affect HIV? Last HIV viral load was 1800.

We aren't certain yet, but it may actually have a beneficial effect on HIV disease control. (interferon may reduce HIV viral load) the CD4 falls, but the %age of CD4 cells appears not to change. We certainly have seen that the treatments for HCV have been well tolerated in those pts with good HIV control.
