I started PegInterferon/Ribavirin treatments on Feb. 8 and lasted only a month. As I'm sure you've heard before, the cure was killing me. I'm a 47-year-old anglo male, married, with a 2-year-old daughter. My wife and I want to have another child. How long will it be before my sperm is safe for fertilization?
 

You should wait 6 months after the end of treatment to try to have a child. The problem is the ribavirin which is teratogenic(can cause letal and severe fetal defects), and remains in your blood cells for 6 months. The Peg Intron will be out of your system after one week. Good luck.
