Ask Your Questions About-HCV! of our Hepatitis Experts:
Skin condition and HCV?
Dr Chung,
I suffer from chronic hcv for the last few years, and I have never been treated since I have no medical insurance or the means to afford the treatment. For the last year I have developed increasingly red spots, looking like spider bites on my chest, shoulders and upper arms. The spots are not itchy or otherwise hurtful, but they multiply and become more intence after physical exertion. Is there anything I can do about it?
Thank you
--G.

I really would have them evaluated by a doctor. They could reflect changes in the liver that may herald more advanced scarring. RC
