How to handle fatigue?

I have several patients on rebetron - and after week 2 - they have begun to feel the most SE - do you have any recommendations re: how best to handle their fatigue?

In general, maximal hydration, attention to possible underlying depression and treatment thereof, and ribavirin dose adjustments for lower Hemoglobin I have used. If disabling, then you may need to explore IFN dose reduction as well. We hope to see less of this with the PEG + ribavirin combination. However, this one is the hardest to make go away. RC

Another option to consider may be Peg IFN monotherapy, without ribavirin.
