Treatment Failure

Dear Dr. Chung,

What are the chances, if any, of a monotherapy non-responder, and a combo non-responder, responding to pegylated + ribavirin? I am a genotype 1b with well compensated cirrhosis. Thank you in advance.

We do not know the answer to this question yet, but the combo nonresponder will likely respond to PEG/Riba, I would guess in the 25% range, higher for the monotherapy nonresponder. RC
